Get a Tax Free Childcare Account!
Tax-Free Childcare accounts are a UK government scheme designed to help working parents make childcare more affordable. For every £8 a parent pays into their account, the government adds £2, up to a maximum of £2,000 per child each year (or £4,000 for children with disabilities). The money can be used to pay for approved childcare providers, including nurseries, childminders, after-school clubs, and holiday schemes. This support can significantly reduce the overall cost of childcare, making it easier for families to balance work and family life. Tax-Free Childcare is particularly beneficial because it is flexible, can be used alongside other support in some cases, and is available for children up to age 11 (or 17 for children with disabilities), helping parents manage ongoing childcare expenses over several years.
for working families claiming Universal Credit with children under 17. Claim back up to 85% of eligible childcare costs. Upfront childcare costs may be available to eligible parents moving in to work or increasing hours.
